Terms of use and sale
Academy terms of use
PurposeAddition under review
These terms govern the use of the site’s free content — courses, assessments, resources — and the issuing of certificates of achievement and of participation. Purchases are governed by the terms of sale below.
Access and accountAddition under review
Free lessons and resources can be read without an account; progress is then kept in the browser of the device used. The final assessment and the issuing of a certificate require an account, so that the result is recorded and verifiable. No newsletter subscription is required to follow a course or obtain a certificate.
AssessmentsAddition under review
The assessment is an unproctored online knowledge check. The score is computed by the site from the answers; the pass mark is shown before each attempt. The number of attempts may be limited over time to prevent abuse. You are asked to take the assessment yourself, without automating it.
CertificatesAddition under review
The name shown on a certificate is the one its holder declares, and the holder is responsible for it. A certificate issued in error or obtained fraudulently may be revoked; online verification then says so. The scope of each document — what it attests and what it does not — is stated on it.
Use of free resourcesAddition under review
Free guides and templates may be used and adapted for the needs of your organisation or your engagements. Republishing or reselling them, as is or modified, is not permitted without written consent. The organisations and people named in the examples are fictitious.
Terms of sale
Scope
These terms govern every order placed on continuity-resilience.com with Cryptaguard BV, by consumers and businesses alike. They are accepted when the order is placed; the applicable version is the one online on that date.
Offers and prices
Courses, tracks, certifications (exam access, up to three attempts, and the certificate upon passing) and working templates are sold individually. The Organisation plan is a monthly or yearly subscription billed per seat, from ten seats.
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, with Belgian VAT. A business established in another EU member state that provides a valid VAT number is invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism, as stated on the invoice.
Ordering and payment
An account is required to order. Payment is made online through Stripe, a licensed payment provider; Cryptaguard BV never has access to card details. The order is binding once payment is confirmed, and an electronic invoice is sent to the buyer.
Access to content
Access opens immediately after payment is confirmed, from the buyer’s account. An individual purchase is final and does not renew: it remains available for as long as the service operates. Payment by direct debit or bank transfer opens access once the funds are received.
Organisation subscription
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. It can be cancelled at any time from the account’s billing area; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, which remains due and accessible. The number of seats can be adjusted; added seats are billed pro rata for the remaining period.
Right of withdrawal
Consumers are in principle entitled to withdraw within fourteen days without giving a reason. This right does not apply to businesses.
For digital content supplied immediately (courses, tracks, templates, exam access), by confirming the order the consumer requests immediate performance of the contract and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once the content is supplied, in accordance with Article VI.53, 13°, of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.
Where the right applies, send an unequivocal statement to contact@continuity-resilience.com, for example: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for [item], ordered on [date], in the name of [name], account email [address].”
Refunds
A valid withdrawal is refunded within fourteen days, using the payment method used for the order.
Content that is inaccessible or does not match its description, because of a defect we cannot fix within a reasonable time, is refunded. The same applies to an item bought twice by mistake.
A subscription period that has started is not refunded pro rata on cancellation, unless the law provides otherwise. Requests go to contact@continuity-resilience.com.
Conformity guarantee
Digital content and services are covered by the legal conformity guarantee that Belgian law grants consumers.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without depriving consumers of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of their country of residence. Any complaint should first be sent to contact@continuity-resilience.com. Failing agreement, consumers may refer the matter free of charge to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (mediationconsommateur.be). Between businesses, the courts of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction.
