Continuity strategies and solutions
The step everybody skips, and that decides everything
Between the BIA and the plans sits a decision: which strategy do we retain, resource by resource, and at what price? Skipping it produces plans describing means nobody funded. This course teaches how to build a defensible option comparison, cost it, and get it decided.
Learning objectives
- Derive a strategy per resource category
- Compare options on an economic rather than technical basis
- Build a one-page decision case
- Identify the zero-cost strategies that get forgotten
- Document explicit acceptance of residual risk
Intended audience
- Continuity managers
- Finance functions
- Architects
- Risk committees
Prerequisites
- Running a BIA that holds
Detailed curriculum
Module 1
Reasoning by resource
Six resource categories, six response families.
Module 2
From choice to solution
Turning a selected strategy into arrangements that actually work.
Assessment method
Self-check questions throughout the lessons, with no recorded score. Where an associated track leads to a certification, that certification has a separate exam.
Document issued
This course does not, on its own, lead to a certificate. A track certification, where one exists, is issued after its exam is passed.
