Failover
In French : Bascule
Transfer of operations to the recovery infrastructure. The return to the nominal infrastructure, often trickier, is called failback.

A site intended to host operations when the primary site is unavailable. Classified as cold, warm, hot or mirrored according to its readiness.

A plan describing the restoration of information systems at a recovery site or infrastructure. It is a component of the continuity arrangements, not their equivalent.
