Writing plans people can use

Write for someone who is frightened, at night, without their laptop

A continuity plan is not a compliance document: it is a tool that tired, anxious people must be able to follow. This course teaches the structure, format and tone that separate a binder people open from a binder people file.

Learning objectives

  • Structure a coherent plan architecture
  • Write actions executable without interpretation
  • Design action cards for immediate use
  • Build a three-tier response structure with deputies
  • Maintain the plans without a full-time post
